About Your
TEACHER

My name is Mrs. Wallace.

I teach World Literature & Composition 10, speech & debate, creative writing, and heroes & villains in literature and film.

I began my teaching career in Sandusky at Jackson Junior High. I taught 8th-grade English. From there I went to Norwalk St. Paul High School for 2 years where I taught English as well as journalism and speech. In 1999 I landed here at PHS.

In my first year as a Pirate, I coached the cheerleaders, directed the fall play, and advised the yearbook. What was I thinking as a first-year teacher and soon-to-be new mom? I enjoyed every minute of it!

I look forward to a fabulous year with all of you.

Believe it or not, your teachers have lives outside of the classroom! Here is a little bit about me with some photos to help you get to know me a little better.

I'm a WIFE. I got married to my husband Matt 29 years ago. We met at Cedar Point in 1989 where we were both working at the Marina Steakhouse that is now Famous Dave's. Matt and I both love to boat and enjoy the lake. We still love CP and get season passes each year.

I'm a MOM. My son Michael is going to college and studying English and creative writing. He hopes one day to write stories for role-playing games and become an author. Michael loves music and plays percussion and guitar along with several other instruments. He also loves to cook.

I'm also a MOM to my dog Berkley and my cat Sebastien.  We rescued Berkley from a shelter in Indiana about two years ago. She's a Wheaten Terrier that loves to swim. Sebo is also a rescue that we've had since he was a kitten. He's an old, lazy man now who doesn't care for an obnoxious dog.

I'm a TRAVELER. Madame Kropf, who teaches French, once told me that if I go to Europe I'll want to keep going back. I hate to admit it, but she was right. She talked me into helping her with the trips to France, and we go every two years. I am beyond blessed, and I absolutely LOVE it. I also enjoy roaming around Ohio and heading to other states in our nation to explore. Some of my favorite places are Nags Head, Myrtle Beach, Pigeon Forge, Disney World, and San Francisco.

I'm a BUCKEYE through and through. I grew up watching the Buckeyes and eventually graduated from The Ohio State University in 1990.  On Saturdays, you can find me cheering on my Buckeyes no matter where in the world I might be.
